Most substances are out of the body within a few days, except marijuana. Marijuana stores in the body's fats, therefore it tends to stay in a person's system for longer periods of time- approximately six weeks.
The five most common drugs of abuse and the five drug classes mandated for testing by the Federal Government are the following:
- Phencyclidine (PCP)
- Amphetamines (including methamphetamines and ecstasy)
- Opiates (codeine, morphine & 6-monoacteyl morphine)

- TCA (tricyclic antidepressants)
